ReplyDeleteMore interesting history! Lincoln went to war at first to save the Union. In order to do that, the emancipation situation had to be addressed. First to allow the black men to fight for the union and second to show that the Constitution meant for all men, not just the white people. Lincoln wanted to free the slaves and relocate them to other places. This process was started, but failed many times.
