ReplyDeleteRepresentatives of Vesper Energy, which is proposing to construct a large-scale solar energy farm in the central part of Bradford County, attended the Bradford County Planning Commission’s meeting on Thursday, April 18.
ReplyDeleteThe solar energy farm would generate 80 to 100 megawatts of electricity, Michael Reed, a senior development manager for the company, said in an interview.
To generate one megawatt of electricity, a solar farm would need five to eight acres of solar energy panels and associated facilities, so the solar energy farm that Vesper wants to build would occupy somewhere between 400 to 800 acres of land, Reed said. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but people are starting to come out with their opinions.
