  2. Can you tell me how charging me more interest on a car loan helps the economy?
Also, I'm watching the new season of Cobra Kai and love that I can watch all the episodes and not have to wait a week for the next one.

  3. https://www.cnn.com/2022/09/21/middleeast/iran-mahsa-amini-death-widespread-protests-intl-hnk/index.html At least women in the US aren't forced to wear head coverings.

In this country, young women are wearing very short dresses to prom. They would never make it in Iran.

  4. “People don’t realize that there is a moratorium, and has been for over 20 years, on building nursing homes in PA.” This was an interesting article in the "Rocket". To be allowed to build, they have to take over an existing facility that is closing or "buy beds" from a facility that is closing.

  5. One way is for a company to purchase an older facility that doesn’t conform to current life safety codes, and the department will allow it to replace that building to provide the exact number of beds contained in the previous complex.

The other way is to file the aforementioned application form where the company has to demonstrate that there is a definitive need for such a facility in that county and that it is being underserved because there are not enough beds to serve the population.

  6. State Rep. Tina Pickett and representatives from local health care organizations are expressing strong concern about the PA Supreme Court’s Aug. 25 decision that allows medical malpractice cases to be filed in any county in the state, regardless of where the alleged harm occurred. Apparently, lawyers were previously filing cases in counties where higher settlements were likely. That causes providers to not perform certain procedures especially baby doctors. I remember this happening, but didn't realize why.
