- Thoughts on the 9/11 Memorial Museum
I found the 9/11 Museum to be very unique. Most museums hit you with too much information when you enter. There were many large areas for contemplation and reflection. I think all of us who were living at the time it happened felt a part of the whole tragedy. I thought it added to the information I got at the time and made it more human to me and personal. The crowded areas in the side rooms made the visitors quiet and respectful. I loved sharing this experience with the next generation. I think the purpose may be to never forget this horrible incident. I do agree that it was also used by some for purposes that were not honorable. I don't feel the museum reflects this.
