“(Cell phones) are just a huge detriment,” he said. “Any school administrator would tell you that the majority of their day is taken up by all of the negatives that come from the cyber-bullying, the fighting in bathrooms, the recordings that are out on the Internet forever and there is no getting that back. We have to do a better job of not only banning the phones, but teaching kids how to be more responsible with utilizing that technology.”
ReplyDeleteApproximately 95 percent of the discipline issues that occur at the high school stem from—or were increased because of—cell phones, Evans stated. Another local school district joined Norma's district in limiting cell phone use and used these facts. How much of a problem are cell phones?
I agree with Voretaq about the Olympics. There are some people who live for the events and I can't seem to find the interest because there is so much cheating in one way or another. I can't see the joy in winning if you took drugs to win.

Many years ago, we decided to go with a "cheaper" energy provider. At first it was great, then I think we were using electricity at the wrong time of day and we got a whopping bill. Luckily, when we signed up, it said we could cancel at any time without penalty and we quickly went back to Penelec. These cheaper energy companies still use Penelec's lines and charge accordingly.
