Episode 301: Bad Surveys, California Wrap-Up, and Education Discussions

Bart, Norma and Voretaq discuss the overall California trip (DINOSAURS! BEACHES! DEATH!), terrible surveys sent on behalf of the Orange Curse, charter schools and education in general as well as a bit document discussing the things Cargill has done (according to the organization in the link...)

Show Notes:

  1. When you were talking about your cat watching the crickets, I thought about our cat Gohan. When my grand lizards went home, Racket had not eaten all of his crickets. When I went to clean the cage, there were about 10 critters running around and the cat jumped into the cage and cleaned them up. I guess it's protein for him.

  2. Face it, there is no substitute for a teacher in front of the classroom directing the learning activities. Many students are not able to focus and stay on task unless there is a live person there to coordinate. Young people today are so easily distracted. Plus, there goes the social aspect of education.

  3. Eventually we won't need Cargill because of this: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3275913/Lab-grown-burgers-menu-2020-Scientists-set-company-make-stem-cell-meat-affordable-reality.html
