Parents are trying to get their money back from Facebook. They put their credit card number in to pay for a $19.99 game for the child. Of course, Facebook kept the number on file. Every time the little pile of coins in the corner of the game got down to one and blinked, the child clicked on the coin and the credit card was charged. when I have gotten extra time on a game, it always confirms the purchase before it happens. I don't know if the kid had that or if it was as easy as clicking the coin. The parents are taking it to court. The mother being interviewed on the news had already settled with Facebook, but apparently there are many others having trouble getting the money back.
ReplyDeleteSchool Administrators do not like to be told that you need parent support and changes in the home before the student situation improves. I was always told that, "There's nothing we can do to change what happens at home." So, you just chase your tail and accomplish nothing to make a positive change if the parents aren't on board. Something like our government.
