President's wives may not be paid, but there must be something expected of them. President Buchanan had his niece fill the role of first lady for state dinners and holiday events. The first lady has a social function.
ReplyDeleteIdeally, when someone runs for president they would have the backing of the family and know what they were getting into. In this case, nothing was normal. I can see both sides of the argument. Moving a child to a new school is traumatic and depends on the needs of the child. Keeping him in NYC was probably the best for him.
I wonder how Voretaq made out during the snowstorm. We heard that Long Island was going to really get hit.
