Many people who lived in Germany when Hitler took power called him their savior because he brought in jobs and prosperity. It was later that the (*(*& hit the fan when he became insane with power and wouldn't listen to his advisors. Instead he would have them killed if they disagreed with him. I've read many books about him and found Hitler fascinating, but scary. My mom and dad had a friend who lived in Germany during the war years and she said she really had no idea about the horrible things Hitler was doing.
