  1. When I taught, I gave letter grades for reading, math, English, spelling, health, science, and social studies. I can't believe the lack of grading today. It also worked faster when they were done by hand instead of on a computer.

I have waited outside a one-seater bathroom for a long time and wonder what these women are doing in there. Why do women take so long? When you're waiting at the bus station and there is a line halfway across New York City, wouldn't you think they would hurry?

By Christmas Day, I'm ready to have the whole thing over. I think it's because Christmas ads and store displays appear so early. I take down decorations the day after Christmas and move on to New Year's Day. My son loved to get under the decorated tree and gaze up through the branches. He did this on Christmas Day one year and the tree tipped over. That year the tree was down immediately.
Holidays have become just another day to me.
